Northumberland Wildlife Trust manages 69 nature reserves covering 6,193 hectares across Northumberland, North Tyneside and Newcastle. In 2024–25, the Trust made significant progress on the £30m Rothbury Estate acquisition — the largest land sale in England for 30 years — advanced peatland restoration across 14 sites, contributed 14,449 volunteer hours, launched a five-year red squirrel project and expanded community nature programmes to reach underrepresented groups.
