The Royal Society of Chemistry is an international learned society and professional body founded in 1841, advancing excellence in the chemical sciences for the benefit of humanity. With over 50,000 members in more than 100 countries, the RSC publishes 56 peer-reviewed journals, funds thousands of grants and fellowships, supports chemistry teachers, and runs public engagement programmes including Chemistry Week and the Outreach Fund. In 2023, income was £70.9 million, with £85.1 million in charitable expenditure funded in part from investment and publishing reserves.
