ZSL (Zoological Society of London) is a science-driven conservation charity operating London Zoo and Whipsnade Zoo alongside field conservation in 80+ countries. In 2024–25 it welcomed 2.2 million zoo visitors, trained 500+ teachers, reintroduced the sihek bird to the wild after 40 years, averted extinction for the Mexican pupfish, and co-published the Living Planet Report revealing a 73% average decline in monitored wildlife populations since 1970.
