Impact Report 2022–2023

Age UK Croydon provides holistic support for older people across the London Borough of Croydon, with 50 staff and 84 volunteers. In 2022–23, the Information & Advice team generated £1,045,717 in income for clients, the Personal Independence Coordinator service supported 866 clients towards 1,684 goals, and the Live Love Later Life programme delivered physical activity in 14 care homes. A new Care Home Connector service and Healthsmart Health Hubs were also launched during the year.

  • Care Home Connector service (launched June 2022) engaged with 54 out of 128 Croydon care homes, supporting 110 residents to achieve 173 goals and providing 364 connections to 99 different organisations and services
  • Healthsmart Health Hubs launched in Thornton Heath and Selsdon in February 2023, delivering 436 attendances and health checks for 109 clients as part of a planned six-hub network across Croydon's Integrated Care Networks
