About

Brooke is an international animal welfare organisation that has worked for over 90 years to improve the lives of working horses, donkeys and mules and the people who depend on them. Working animals transport water, food and goods, support livelihoods and help families and communities through each day. Brooke works with owners, animal health practitioners, farriers, communities and governments so they have the knowledge, skills and resources to drive change themselves, through branches, affiliates and sister organisations in nine countries and regions across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, with headquarters in the UK. Its vision is a world in which working horses, donkeys and mules are free from suffering and have a life worth living. Registered charity 1085760 (England and Wales) and SC050582 (Scotland).
