Carers First Impact Report 2025-26

Carers First's Impact Report 2025-26 shows a year of reaching unpaid carers earlier through partnerships with health, education, local government and the voluntary sector. During 2025-26 the charity supported 14,778 carers and welcomed 5,837 people to Carers First for the first time. It helped improve or maintain wellbeing for 89% of the carers it supported, and 95% said they would recommend Carers First to others. A benefits advice partnership supported 142 carers with 482 advice interactions, securing an income gain of £225,754.

About

Carers First is a charity supporting unpaid carers who look after a family member, friend or neighbour. It works across Kent, Medway, Essex, Southend-on-Sea and several London boroughs, offering information, advice, one-to-one and peer support, volunteer support and an online offer so carers get the recognition and help they need.
