Retina UK: Our Impact in 2025

Retina UK's Impact Report 2025 marks 50 years since the charity began as the British Retinitis Pigmentosa Society. In 2025, 546 people registered for its Annual Conference (up 49.1%) and 458 for its Professionals' Conference (up 21.2%). It ran its third triennial Sight Loss Survey, which received over 600 responses, grew its peer support network to 21 active groups, awarded two new research grants, progressed its patient registry and raised a record amount in the Big Give Christmas Challenge.

About

Retina UK supports people affected by inherited sight loss, including retinitis pigmentosa, Leber congenital amaurosis, Stargardt disease, Usher syndrome and other inherited retinal dystrophies, to lead better lives today, and funds medical research to accelerate the search for treatments. It was first registered with the Charity Commission in 1976.
