St Basils is the largest regional youth homelessness organisation in England, working with young people aged 16-25 across Birmingham and the West Midlands. In 2023-24, 3,718 young people sought assistance across 49 sites and 613 units of accommodation. Operating as a Psychologically Informed Environment since 2011, St Basils delivers holistic support spanning emergency accommodation, Youth Hubs, the award-winning Live and Work scheme, family mediation and national Youth Voice programmes.

  • 39 young people in the Live and Work scheme — all working and none claiming welfare benefits; 54 new self-contained apartments completed at Youth Village in Sandwell for young workers
  • 1,614 young people received direct support; 1,034 lived in St Basils accommodation; 152 young people supported through Family Mediation in Sandwell with 71 remaining in the family home
